About Us

Hope Welfare Trust (or Hope) is an initiative by youngsters with a will to bring about positive change in the society, especially rural India. It started as a nascent movement from Varanasi in September 2015 when a group of students from various universities and colleges joined hands for rural development.

The idea of Hope is to bring about sustainable development in Indian villages and involve women to play a key role. Thus, Hope works strategically towards rural development and women empowerment. Our hope trust got officially registered and received mandatory documentation of 12 A and 80G

Empowering Women, Transforming Communities: Our vision is to create a society where gender equality is not just a goal but a lived reality, where women are not only empowered but recognized as vital agents of change, driving holistic progress and transformation in every facet of community life.

Hope Welfare Trust is committed to empowering rural Indian women through comprehensive programs focused on gender equality, education, rehabilitation, and advocacy. We strive to eradicate gender discrimination, provide support to survivors of domestic violence, promote girl child education, combat the dowry system, prevent harassment, offer disaster relief, and ultimately, uplift and empower women to become catalysts for positive change in their communities.

Theory of Change

Gender inclusion keeping the women power as core of the working model is our theory of change. We formed green army of rural Indian women who proudly fight against domestic violence, alcoholism, gambling and harassment in various parts of India to achieve our mission.
